VOLUNTEERS

Here is our document for this meet of volunteers, when you need to be there, and what you need to do. 

If you have not signed up for a position yet, we can always use more help in the bullpen and we can rotate timers out halfway through the meet. The set up/take down parents could also use help setting up Friday night TOMORROW at 8:30pm.

If you can no longer fulfill your position, please let me know.

Remember, meet entries are due TODAY!! Sign ups will close at 11am. We will be pulling entries at that time.

Don't forget to sign up for relays and remember that is a commitment to come and swim with your team.

HOME MEET INFO

Hi All,

What a great meet we had at Lehi! Our swimmers rocked the pool! We will be handing out ribbons tomorrow before practice.

HOME MEET

This Saturday (the 24th) is our first HOME meet!! Please sign up your swimmer by Thursday at 11am. SIGN UPS WILL CLOSE AT THIS TIME. Below is the link to sign up. After you read this email, go sign up or mark that you won't be attending the meet.

Please remember if you volunteered to fulfill your duties. We can not run home meets without you. If you have questions about your duties, feel free to email me. We will also be sending out an email about when you need to show up for your position to check in etc. So stay tuned.

If you have not signed up to volunteer yet, please take a look at the parent volunteer tab on the blog and/or email me. Often times things fall through and we need someone to step in for someone else.

LAST CALL AND 100 MEDLEY RELAY MESS UP

Hi All, 

This is a last call for swim meet sign ups TODAY!! We had computer problems yesterday so you are in luck if you haven't signed up for the meet. Please email me if you still need to sign up with the events they want to swim by 12pm today! 

Also, someone deleted the 100 Medley Relay row on the spread sheet. If you accidentally mess up the spreadsheets please hit ctrl z or undo. If you can't figure out what you did wrong, please email me.

So this is a call for all those who signed up for the 100 Medley Relay. Please email me if you signed your swimmer up for that relay TODAY! Remember to include your swimmer's preference.

Also, I will be sending out a tentative event sheet later today. Please check it to make sure your swimmer is signed up for the correct events. I'll be sending it to the Lehi coach this evening.

Just a reminder. 13-14yrs no longer have to swim the 100 back. 15 and up no longer swim the 100 fly.

6/13 PRACTICE CANCELLED, SWIM MEET INFO

Hi All,

PRACTICE TOMORROW

I'd hate to cancel practice two days in a row, but it looks like there is a high chance of rain and it will be in the mid 50s. Which is way too cold for an outdoor pool. So we are going to cancel again. So sorry! We should be good to go for Wednesday! If possible, I would highly suggest going to a rec center with your swimmers and getting some laps in! Practice dives and turns.

UP COMING MEET

We do have a swim meet this Saturday at Lehi! Please don't forget to sign up your child up for their events if you plan on attending. Please mark not attending if you can't make it. If your child's events are not marked by Wednesday at 12pm, we will assume you are not coming. We will be pulling names to send on Wednesday. Entries put in after Wednesday at 12pm will not be accepted. Please sign up on the blog under the "Swim Meet Sign Up" tab, read and follow the instructions.

We will be focusing on prepping for the meet, going over rules, dives, and turns Wed-Fri.

SWIM TEAM CANCELLED TOMORROW 6/12

Hi All,

Hopefully you received the email from management today, but I just wanted to make sure everyone knew. We decided to cancel swim lessons and swim team practice tomorrow because of the weather. It is going to be in the low 60s, so it will be pretty cold.

So, enjoy sleeping in tomorrow and we will see you Tuesday!

SWIM MEET SIGN UPS AND IMPORTANT INFO

Hello All!

Great first week of practice! Game day is tomorrow. We will still have a workout and then the last half of practice we will play games.

Wait List

If you are on the wait list, please hold tight. Our rosters are still shuffling around and spots may open up. If spots do open up, I will email you directly. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions. We also ask that if you are on the wait list, please do not bring your child to swim team.

Fins
Starting next week, we ask all swimmers bring their fins every day. Some days we won't use them, other days we will. However, just please plan on bringing your fins each day.

Swim Meet Sign Ups

On the blog under the Swim Meet Sign Up tab, you will find instructions and a Google sheet to sign your swimmer up for the meet on 17th of June. If there is anything wrong or your swimmer's name is missing/not in the right age group, please let us know!

**If your child's name is highlighted on the meet sign up, you need to register or talk to the coaches before you can sign up for a meet.

Parent Volunteer Sign Ups

If you have not signed up for a volunteer position, please sign up on the parent volunteer tab on the blog.

IN ORDER TO RUN AN EFFECTIVE SWIM CLUB, PARENT INVOLVEMENT IS MANDATORY.  PARENT INTEREST AND RELIABILITY ARE THE ONLY QUALIFICATIONS FOR MOST MEET JOBS. PARENTS ARE EXPECTED TO VOLUNTEER DURING THE SEASON FOR 4.5 HOURS PER CHILD, WITH A 12 HOUR CAP PER FAMILY. WE APPRECIATE YOUR INVOLVEMENT AND HOPE THAT YOU WILL FIND THIS A WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY TO BE PART OF A MEANINGFUL WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH THE SWIMMERS, COACHES AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE TEAM.

Once spots are filled for a certain position, please do not make an additional space for your name. Fill in other needed positions.

If you know upfront that you can not volunteer this summer, you can pay a $50 fee per child at the front desk. When you pay it, tell the cashiers that it will go into the swim team fund. Be sure to have them write down your name and email after so I can mark your hours fulfilled.

To track your hours, you will check in and out with the parent volunteer head at the meets. We will then add up your hours at the end of the season.
