Summer of 2015 Wrap Up

2015 Season and 2016 Season
We had such a great season this summer! We saw our swimmers make some great improvements and really push themselves. We as a coaching staff are so proud of everyone. We hope that all our swimmers will come back next summer and bring their friends! We are very open to any suggestions or solutions to make the summer of 2016 even better! Please let us know if you have any ideas. Also, please stay tuned for more information about the season of 2016, when we will be holding tryouts, and the mandatory parents' meeting. We will probably have those dates early in the spring of 2016.

Lost and Found
We have collected quite a few items over the course of our season. We have fins, goggles, caps, and even swim suits. If you're child has lost anything please come check our lost and found. There is a box in the party room with swim team specific items. However, if not found there, other items may be found in the general lost and found. 

Coaches's Awards, County Awards, and Other Swim Meet Ribbons
We have quite a few awards that still need to be picked up. I went through and organized everything so below (scroll down to the end) is a list of names of those who have something to pick up. Some of these may be doubles. In order to pick up what is in your file, please come to the pool whenever you are available and ask any of the employees about picking up your swim team awards. There are two file boxes that should be in the front office. These are organized by last name, however, some files share last names, so please check your awards to see if they belong to someone else before you take them. Everyone did such an awesome job this year! NICE WORK!

End of the Season Party

End of the Season Party

We are so proud of all of our swimmers and the hard work they've put in this summer! Be sure to come to our end of the season party as the reward you deserve! It's going to be a blast!

We will be holding the end of the year party August 5th from 7- 9 pm or dusk. We will be playing games, eating food, watching an end of the year slide show, and giving out awards. If you have any good pictures of your swimmers and would like them in the slide show please send them to me by tomorrow at 4pm.

Remember, only immediate family is invited to the end of the year party. So no cousins, friends, etc...Only siblings and parents. 

If you have not completed your volunteer hours or are unsure of how many you've done, please contact me, I have a list. These volunteer hours, as stated in the parent packet, (4.5 hours per swimmer - with 12 hour cap) are required for you and your swimmer(s) to be able to attend the end of the year party. We still want you all to attend so if you are not close to meeting the hour requirement, you can bring food, help at the party with games, and donate to the swim team fund.  Donations are going toward raising money to purchase the Meet Manager software to help run meets so we don't have to use the "old school" method with swim cards. Most of the other teams are using Meet Manager so the meets are seeded ahead of time. 

Attached are the results from Saturday's meet. We are super proud of each of you! You all swam great! The head coach for PG came up to me and told me our swimmers look really good this year :) Nice work!

Gold Meet Results and Elite Meet Tomorrow

The Payson pool is an outdoor pool with little shade so please bring umbrellas/shade tents. Be sure to put on lots of sunscreen and re-apply! Today was a toasty one!

Elite Meet August 1: 

Location: Payson Pool.  

Times: Warm-ups: 6:30am. Start: 7:30am.  

South county will have the pool from 6:30am to 7:00am and 

North county will have the pool from 7:00-7:30am (*That's us).

Hello County Swimmers!

We had a fantastic Bronze Meet today! All of our swimmers cut time and did fantastic! We are so proud of each of you and are excited for the meets to follow! 

Attached below are entry reports for each meet. A few changes have been made -you know who you are- those should show on these sheets.

We are still looking for timers for our meets and Officials for gold. If we don't have enough officials/timers, we've been told we might not be able to swim, as this is a rule in the by laws. Please come talk to me at the meet if you are available to time/be on official :)

Hello Parents,

We had a fun last day of practice today and are excited for the county meets this week! Please remember to come on time for your assigned meet.

We are in need of the following volunteers for the meets.This is a requirement for each team to provide timers and judges by the league. If we do not have timers/judges...it won't be good... Please help us out with timing! The more volunteers we have, the less time you have to spend timing. You can switch each other out.

Bronze: three timers

County Swimmer Entry List and Meet Info

Hello Swim Parents,

The following is a list of swimmers for the county meets that I have received. If your child is highlighted, it's just a note for me and it means I'm probably waiting to hear back from you on something. If your swimmer is not on this list and they plan to compete at county, you must email me their info (what meet and events - only 3) by Monday at 9am or come talk to me after practice tomorrow (27th). We as coaches must turn in the entries later that day to the head of the league.

We are also required to provide three timers for each meet and two officials/judges for each meet. I assume they will have you rotate through so you aren't there the whole meet, but I'm not sure how they plan on running it. Below are volunteers that we need for each meet.
