I apologize if you have not been receiving the emails. I investigated it after practice, and I think I found the issue. Hopefully, everyone is receiving the emails now - if not, please email me asap so I can make sure you are on the list (I will be posting this email on the blog - I'd suggest subscribing to the blog if you haven't yet >>> http://lindonswimteam.
**If you are receiving this email and you are not on swim team this year, please let me know so I can take you off the list.
Just a few reminders
Practice Etiquette
We
have discussed the following with the swimmers and would like you to
reinforce this at home so we can have a fun and productive season.
-Listen to the coaches when they are talking and respect them
-Work hard so we can play hard on Fridays (1/2 day - game day)
-Be aware we have a three strike policy (Strikes will be given at coaches’ discretion)
1st offense – A warning will be given
2nd offense – Out of the pool
3rd offense – Still required to come to the next practice, but you will sit out and not be allowed to swim.
-Tardy policy: Late more than two days in a row - the swimmer will be asked to do a dry land set for warm up.
We will be having fin days on Wednesday and Friday.
Please make sure your child has their fins on these days as we will be
using them during practice. If you don't have fins, we have some in lost
and found they could possibly borrow (if they fit!). Otherwise, please
purchase your fins at Poco Loco or other swim stores. Poco Loco will
give you the team discount.
If
you do not have the team swim suit from last year, please make sure you
purchase the team suit from Poco Loco. Go to the store in Provo on
University Pkwy and tell them you are on Lindon Storm Swim Team and they
will give you the discounted price. ***If you do have the suit from
last year, it is your choice to either buy the new suit or stick with
the old one if it is still in good condition.
Team caps can be purchased here at the pool. These must be worn at the swim meets so we know who our swimmers are!
Just
a reminder, parents are required to volunteer 4.5 hrs per child. I will
be posting a Google doc of the positions we need later today. Please
email me the position you would like and I will put your name on the
Google doc. The yellow and red highlighted boxes are the positions we
need filled. Red is the highest priority that we must have filled in order to run the meet. These
positions are for the two home meets that we have. So if you can't make
it to these meets to volunteer, I'm sure the other teams would love
your help at the away meets (this would count toward hours).
The
starters, meet refs, and stroke judges will need to attend the training
meeting on June 9th at the Riverside Country Club from 6-9:30pm. (This
will count toward hours too - so if you have a lot of kids on the team,
I'd recommend one of these positions. You will learn a ton about
swimming and will be able to help your child improve in so many ways!)Thanks so much,
Your Coaches
