COUNTY ENTRIES DEADLINE

If you have not responded to our emails about the county meets to let us know if your child is swimming at county, please do so. If I do not hear from you or your child, I will assume you won't be competing at county. On Sunday, I will send out an email/post a list on the blog of all the swimmers I have currently signed up for County. MONDAY, JULY 27, IS THE LAST DAY ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. I NEED ALL THE ENTRIES BY 9AM!

FRIDAY'S GOLD MEET TIME CHANGE

The time has changed because of a pool rental. The officials send their apologies for any inconvenience this makes for you. 

The new warm up time for Friday's meet will be 1 pm and the start time for the meet will be 2pm.  South county warm ups will be from 1-1:30pm and North county will warm up from 1:30-2:00pm.

RELAYS

We will put together the relays once we have a list of all our swimmers who will be attending each meet and then we will send it out.

EXHIBITION POLICY

No exhibition events will be allowed at county meets. Three individual events. Plus relays, if put on a relay team.

End of Year Party Food Sign Up

Hello Swim Families-

My name is Katie and I am on the volunteer committee to help with the end of year party. The following is some information regarding the party.  

END OF YEAR PARTY

Only immediate family is invited to the end of the year party. So no cousins, friends, etc...Only siblings and parents. 

August 5th from 7- 9 pm or dusk. We will be playing games, eating food, watching an end of the year slide show, giving out awards, and of course swimming!  The coaches/pool will be providing pizza, the slide show, and awards.

The coaches will be providing pizza and paper goods and have asked that each family bring an item to share.  I have created a google spread sheet where you can sign up for the item you would like to bring.  The coaches have would like us to help provide salads, drinks, desserts and fruit. If you bring something to the party/volunteer to help with games, and you are short on volunteer hours - this can go to your hours for the summer swim season. This way you and your swimmer can attend the party.

You will receive a separate email with an invite to edit the sheet where you can go and sign up for the item you would like to bring. If you are unable to access the sheet or have not received it, feel free to email us and we will add your item to the list.

COUNTY MEET SWIMMERS! PLEASE READ!!!

Hello Swim Team Parents,

Below is a list of swimmers that we have down for the county meets. If you see any changes that need to be made, please email me back by clicking reply. We have reviewed the swimmers on the list and their times from July 10th and July 18th...Below are notes of what changed, if anything.

Also, I just clarified with our head of the league, she said that "it is 2 out of 3 times that determines which meet you go to." So as an example, if your swimmer has two times in silver, one time in bronze, and one time in gold - your swimmer has two options. Swim in Silver or swim in Gold. Swimmers may always swim up. The head of the league said she will move swimmers if they are in the wrong meet based on this rule. Sorry if this is an inconvenience. If you have any questions, please email me. 

Based on the rule above, please check your swimmers times and qualifications again to make sure they are in the correct meet. We've made notes next to some of the swimmers of changes that need/could be made). Please look at these and then email me back if your swimmer needs to be changed. I'd hate to have them moved and not be able to swim at the meet they show up for. 

As for swimming more than 3 events, we are still checking what the rule is on exhibitions. Stay tuned! THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE! Sorry for any confusion.

COUNTY UPDATE: Gold and Elite Meet Info

GOLD AND ELITE MEET

The Gold meet (July 31) will be at the Payson Pool.  Warm ups will start at 3:00pm and the meet will start at 4:00pm.  South County teams will have the pool from 3:00-3:30pm and North County teams will have the pool from 3:30-4:00pm (*That's us).  

Elite meet (August 1) will be at the Payson Pool.  Warm-ups will start at 6:30am and the meet will start at 7:30am.  South county will have the pool from 6:30am to 7:00am and North county will have the pool from 7:00-7:30am (*That's us). 

VOLUNTEER NEEDS

We need (3) timers per lane and each team provides (3) timers for their lane just like Bronze/Silver.  Spanish Fork Lane 1, Riverside Lane 2, Springville Lane 3, Lindon Lane 4, Lehi Lane 5 and Pleasant Grove Lane 6.

Every team must supply 2 officials per meet.

REMINDER: We must know whether or not your child will be swimming at county! Please email us or talk to us during practice so no swimmer gets left behind!

County Meet Update

Hello Swim Team Parents,

We appreciate all your patience as we figure out County Meets and who will be swimming at what meets. We will be responding to your emails in the next few days as we work to answer everyone's questions. 

Just a quick up date on Bronze and Silver Meets... 

Bronze (July 28th) and Silver (July 29th) meets next week will be at the Spanish Fork pool. The warm-ups will start at 12:30pm and the meet will start at 1:30pm. The meets will end around 6pm due to pool rentals.

The following is from Spanish Fork and the Head of the League: 

"We need 3 timers per lane and each team provides 3 timers for their lane. Payson Lane 1, Riverside Lane 2, Springville Lane 3, Lindon Lane 4, Lehi Lane 5, and Pleasant Grove Lane 6. Spanish Fork will be Head Timers....

Each team is responsible to supply 2 officials for each meet.  We may not hold the meet if we do not have enough officials to run the meet."

If you are willing to volunteer for the County Meets, please email me asap. If you need more hours, this is a great opportunity to meet the hours requirement. 

This Week

Also, we are in need of a parent volunteer for Thursday, July 23rd. Kristi and Tate will be gone. We really don't want to leave Rachel by herself with 60 kids from each group. If you can come to Advanced at 7:30, Intermediate at 8:30, or Beginner at 9:30 please let me know via email asap! This would be of great help!
